Open-water starts right on the beach, in front of the Event Arena — calm, protected waters, typical of the Ilheus coastline.
Location: Jorge Amado Bridge (Rua Padre Luís Palmeira)
The course crosses the iconic Jorge Amado Bridge, a postcard landmark of Ilheus connecting downtown to the Pontal district.
Location: Avenida Dois de Julho
An urban, seaside stretch, with crowd support along the whole avenue.
The bike course has its own route for each category. The run is shared between Age Group and Elite.

Testing carried out on July 19, 2026 at three points along Praia do Cristo — all parameters within World Triathlon limits for swim and transition waters.
